Third "100 Year" Storm in Three Years

The MSD seems to find comfort in statistics by saying that it can't budget for "acts of nature". Sorry, but if your business is sewers that also carry rain water then that is your job.

The storms themselves are not "100 Year" events as shared by the MSD, and their news articles misrepresent the science behind the flooding. 

The USGS takes a different position.

Even the skeptical must admit the dramatic impact the storms have had on the city. The images and video are from the April 2017 storm.
